Ten Commandments Quiz

The Ten Commandments are the heart of the law God gave Israel through Moses. This free Ten Commandments quiz asks about where they were given, what they were written on, what happened at the foot of the mountain and what some of the commandments say.

The questions come from Exodus 19 to 34, Deuteronomy 5 and the words of Jesus about the law. Each answer has a short note with the Bible reference, so you can read the passage afterward. It works well for children's church, a youth lesson or a personal review.

The commandments are found twice, in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5, with small differences in wording. Churches also number them differently, so this quiz asks about what each commandment says and not its number. If a question is about the golden calf, remember that Moses was still on the mountain at the time.
