Bible Games for Youth Group

Five free team games for teens and a 45-minute meeting plan with a game, a challenge and a Bible moment.

Teens like competition, quick rounds and a bit of noise. These games give a youth leader all three, and they work on a single screen, so you do not need every student to have a device.

Each game links back to Scripture. Use the right answers as the start of a short talk, not just a score.

A 45-Minute Youth Group Meeting Plan

This plan puts a game first and a short talk after it, so the game leads into the Bible time.

  1. Icebreaker (7 minutes): play Bible True or False as a vote. Standing means true, sitting means false.
  2. Team game (18 minutes): two or three teams play Bible Jeopardy. Keep score on a whiteboard.
  3. Hot seat (10 minutes): each team picks a volunteer for a few questions of Bible Millionaire, with the team as the audience.
  4. Talk (8 minutes): choose one clue or question the group missed, find it in the Bible together and discuss what it means.
  5. Close (2 minutes): read a verse from the Bible Verse Generator and pray.

Keeping Teen Games Fair and Fun

Mix up the teams so friends are not always together. Decide before the game whether teams may use their Bibles. Letting them look up a verse can turn a quiz into a study.

If the group is large, run two teams at the front and let everyone else vote or write answers on paper. For a lighter evening, try a word search or Bible Wordle on the screen while people arrive. For a harder challenge, use the topic quizzes such as the Twelve Disciples or the Miracles of Jesus.
