These printable Christmas coloring pages tell the Christmas story from the Bible: the angel visiting Mary, the journey to Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus, the shepherds and the wise men following the star. Each page has a verse from Luke or Matthew at the bottom, so children can color and hear the story at the same time.
Five pages have more detail for children aged 5 to 10. Three pages are made for toddlers and preschoolers, with very large shapes: the Christmas star, Baby Jesus in the manger and a Christmas tree. All pages are black and white and print on one US Letter sheet, ready for crayons, markers or colored pencils.
Ideas for Advent, Sunday School and Home
Color one page each Sunday of Advent and read the matching verse. In a Christmas class, hand out the page that goes with the day's story and ask children to retell it when they finish. At home, color a page together after supper and put the finished pictures on the fridge, or fold them into Christmas cards for grandparents.
For a party, mix coloring with games: try the Christmas Bible quiz for kids, the Christmas word search or the Christmas crossword. You will find more ideas on our Christmas Bible games page.
