Bible Character Guessing Game – Guess Who from Hints | Bible Games Online

Bible Character Guessing Game: Type Your Guess

Read the hints one at a time and type who you think the Bible character is. The earlier you guess, the more points you score.

24 characters

Each game has 8 Bible characters. You see one hint to begin with. Type a guess at any time. A wrong guess shows the next hint. Guess on the first hint for 5 points, the last for 1.

How to Play the Bible Character Guessing Game

This free Bible character guessing game gives you a hint about a Bible person and asks you to type a name. Unlike a multiple-choice quiz, there are no answer buttons to help you, so you have to remember the person yourself. Every game has eight characters chosen at random from a list of twenty-four. You start with one hint. If your guess is wrong, the game shows the next hint, and you can also ask for the next hint yourself. Guess on the first hint for five points, and the points go down by one for each extra hint.

Spelling does not have to be perfect, and common alternative names work too, for example Saul for Paul, Simon for Peter or Israel for Jacob.

Who Is in the Game?

The twenty-four characters cover the whole Bible: Adam, Eve, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Samson, Ruth, Samuel, David, Solomon, Elijah, Daniel, Esther, Jonah, Gideon, Mary, John the Baptist, Peter, Paul and Zacchaeus. Each hint comes from the Bible account of that person, starting with the more unusual details and ending with the best-known fact.

Is This Different From Bible Who Am I?

Yes. In Bible Who Am I you choose from four names. Here you have to type the name yourself, you can ask for hints whenever you like, and a wrong guess costs you points by revealing the next hint. If you want to practice names with answer choices first, play that game, then come back here for a harder challenge. You can also test your wider knowledge in Bible Trivia.

Use It in Class or at Home

Read the hints out loud and let teams write down a name after each one. The team that is right on the earliest hint scores the most points, and the leader can read the next hint only after every team has written a guess. It is a lively way to review a unit on Bible people or to start a family devotion.
