Creation Days Order Game

The Bible begins with God creating the world. Over six days God made light, sky and sea, land and plants, sun and moon, fish and birds, and animals and people. On the seventh day God rested.

Because it is a story in order, it is easy to turn into a game. This game helps everyone remember what God made on each day.

Verse to remember (Genesis 1:1): In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

1. Choose seven players. Each one receives a day (Day 1 to Day 7) by whisper from the leader. Others sit and watch.
2. Each player does a simple action for what God made on their day, such as a flashlight hand for light or a wave for the sea.
3. The seated players call out what they see, one day at a time, and the leader helps.
4. Mix up the seven players and ask the group to put them in the right order.
5. Give the group one minute. Then check the order together.
6. Swap in new players and play again.

How it ends: Finish by saying together, "God made everything, and it was good." Ask what part of creation people love most.

Leader can say: “God made everything in the world, and God made you too.”

For little ones: Play with only three days at first (light, sea and sky, land and plants), and let little ones act as animals on day six.

For teens and adults: Older players can read Genesis 1 aloud, with each reader taking one day, and discuss how the days build on each other.

Safety: Keep movement gentle. Do not push players into line, and let everyone choose their own place.

After the game, sit together and ask:

• What is your favourite thing God made?
• Why do you think God rested on the seventh day?
• How can we take care of what God made?

• Noah's Ark Animal Pairs: Find your animal partner by sound and board the ark two by two.
• Bible Charades Relay: Two teams act out Bible people and stories with no talking.
