Bible Story Line-Up
Each player is one part of a Bible story. The team lines up to put the story in the right order. No supplies needed.
The Bible Story
Every Bible story has a beginning, a middle and an end. When we know the order, we understand what happened and why it matters.
This game lets players become the parts of a story and stand in a line, so that the group can see the whole story from start to finish.
Verse to remember (Psalm 105:1): Give thanks to the Lord and tell the nations what he has done.
How to Play
- Pick a well-known story, such as Noah, David and Goliath or the birth of Jesus, and split it into five or six short parts.
- Give each player in a team one part by whisper. For example for Noah: God speaks, build the ark, animals come, the flood, the rainbow.
- On "Go", the team lines up in the right order. Players can describe their part in a few words, but may not show anyone a written card.
- When the team thinks it is ready, each player says their part out loud from the first to the last.
- The leader checks the order and the team scores a point if it is right.
- Swap parts and play with a new story.
How it ends: Finish by telling one story in one sentence, with everyone adding a word. Ask which part is the happiest.
Leader can say: “Every story has a beginning, a middle and an end, and God is in all of them.”
For Every Age
For little ones: Use stories with only three parts, such as Jonah (ship, fish, Nineveh), and let little ones act their part.
For teens and adults: Older players can take longer stories like Joseph or Esther and use eight parts.
Safety: Walk to the line gently. If anyone feels unsure, let a friend help them find their place.
Talk About It
After the game, sit together and ask:
- Which part of the story is most important?
- What happens if we mix up the order?
- What does this story tell us about God?
